2006: DeMoor participated in the 3,000 and 5,000m during the indoor season. He took 10th at the Air Force Inviational (9:13.20) in the 3,000. He placed 42nd at the Husky Classic in the 5,000 (14:53.76). DeMoor had a breakout outdoor season. He competed in four events, the 1,500, 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000m runs. DeMoor set his pr in the 1,500 at the Tom Benich Classic with a mark of 4:08.79 to place 14th. At the Colorado Invitational, he recorded a time of 8:46.87 in the 3,000 for a third-place finish. DeMoor took fourth in the Oregon Invite in the 5,000, setting a pr with a time of 14:46.35. During the conference championships, he placed 16th in the 10,000 (31:54.32, pr) and 18th in the 5,000 (15:03.13).

CROSS COUNTRY:  DeMoor had a breakout season in 2008 and came up huge for the Buffs when it counted. After placing first at the Air Force Invite, he ran to a 20th place finish in the Big 12 Championship which helped the Buffs hold off the ISU Cyclones for second place. At the regional meet, DeMoor once again was CU’s fifth racer and took 18th overall as the Buffs won the Mountain Region title. He placed 222nd at the NCAA Championship. In 2007, DeMoor was only able to compete in one race. He was 30th overall at the Fort Hays Invite and was the fourth scorer for the team. DeMoor’s 2006 season was cut short, but he was able to compete in two races. He surprised the field at the Rocky Mountain Shootout by being the second Buff to cross the finish behind Stephen Pifer and took eighth overall (25:35). At Pre-Nationals, he was the No. 7 runner, finishing 72nd overall. 

HIGH SCHOOL: DeMoor was a member of the second-place cross country team at the Colorado Class 3A meet in 2003. As a senior, he was the captain of the cross country and track and field teams. DeMoor earned letters all four years. He ran second on his team as a freshman and ran a personal best 16:27 in the 5k at the Liberty Bell Invitational. DeMoor ran the mile in 4:40 and the two mile in 10:05.

ACADEMICS: DeMoor is majoring in history. He owns a better than 3.00 grade point average and is a member of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Seth J. DeMoor was born on June 10, 1985 in Colorado Springs, Colo. His parents are Joe and Wynne DeMoor of Buena Vista, Colo. He lists reading, running, traveling and camping as his hobbies.
