The CU Cheer Team consists of a co-ed and an all-girl cheer team. The coed team generally has 10 couples and the all-girl team has 24 members. In addition to cheering on the sidelines, the cheer team attends community events and campus functions throughout the year. Both teams attend the UCA College Nationals in January. The all-girl team placed 6th in the D1A Division in 2015 and the coed team placed 7th in the World University Division.

Chip is CU's costumed mascot and one of the best in the nation. Chip is available for bookings, and he can be seen at numerous CU, community and charity events throughout the year. He has multiple top five finishes at the Mascot National Championship, including winning back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010.

The CU Dance Team can be seen the on the sidelines, during halftime of athletic events and at appearances in the community. They also accompany the Golden Buffalo Marching Band on the field for football pregame and halftime shows. They attend the UDA College National Championships in Orlando, FL and compete in both the jazz and pom divisions. They placed an impressive top five in both divisions in 2014 and have multiple top 10 finishes in past years.
