BOULDER —The University of Colorado track and field team will host the CU Invitational Friday and Saturday, April 13-14, at Potts Field.

The men’s and women’s javelin and hammer throws will be contested on Friday, starting at 2 p.m. Saturday’s events will start at 11 a.m. with the shot put, discus, pole vault, long jump and steeplechase. The field events will run on a rolling schedule while the track events will follow a time schedule. The final event scheduled for the track is the men’s 4x400-meter relay tentatively at 3:30 p.m.

The Buffaloes will host many Front Range schools this weekend. Air Force, Colorado State, Colorado College, Colorado School of Mines, Metro State, Northern Colorado and UC-Colorado Springs will compete along with many unattached athletes.

The forecast for Friday is cloudy, high of 70 F with a 20% chance of rain and Saturday’s outlook is also cloudy with a high of 59 F and a 25% chance of rain (as of Thursday afternoon). Should inclement weather force a cancellation of the meet, such notice will be posted on www.CUBuffs.com as well as a message left on the track and field office voice mail at 303/492-5227.

Parking and admission are free for the event. Results will be posted online at CUBuffs.com
