2014 Colorado Basketball Camp for Girls

University of Colorado Basketball Camp for Girls is open to any and all girls, of all abilities, limited only by grade level


Little Dribblers
June 16-19, 2014
Ages: 5-9
Camp Hours: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Cost: $150
Check In: June 16th, 7:30 a.m. at the Coors Events Center

Little Dribblers Camp is for the first time camper or a camper who would benefit from a half-day camp. Campers will learn age appropriate locomotor movements and basketball skills in a fun and non-threatening atmosphere. Games such as red light-green light, follow the leader, Simon says, and relays will be played with a basketball to introduce basic skills. Sportsmanship and teamwork will be emphasized and the rules of the game will be introduced. Snacks will be provided during break time. Baskets will be lowered to ensure camper success.

Individual Camp
June 16-19, 2014
Ages: 9-14
Camp Hours: 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. daily
Cost: $300
Check In: June 16th, 7:30 a.m. at the Coors Events Center

Individual Camp is a great opportunity for any player looking to develop and refine their fundamental skills in a fun and entertaining atmosphere. The sessions will offer specialized basketball instruction in both offensive and defensive areas. Camp highlights include awards and contest such as free throws, 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and hot shot. Campers will also compete in 5-on-5 games throughout the day. All campers will be divided into teams based upon age and ability. Lunch will be provided to campers only on the last day of camp.

Shooting Camp
June 20, 2014
Ages: 8-18
Camp Hours:  9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Cost: $75
Check In: June 20th, 7:30 a.m. at the Coors Events Center

This camp is designed to improve footwork, shooting technique and accuracy through instruction and repetition. Each camper will be taught the fundamental approach to shooting through a step-by-step shooting progression --the lay-up, set shot, pull up jumper, shooting off screens, and the 3-point shot. Everything you need to become more of an offensive threat. Camp highlights include: games and competitions, lower baskets for younger campers. Lunch will be provided to all campers.

Elite Camp
June 21-22, 2014
Ages: 14-18
Camp Hours: June 21, 1:00 p.m.-8:00 pm
June 22, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 pm
Cost: $160 Commuter/Pro-rated based on sessions attended/$200 Overnight
Check In: June 21, 11:30 a.m at the Coors Events Center

Our Elite Camp is designed to take your game to the next level. Emphasis will be placed on offensive skills including: position work (guard, forward, post), using screens and reading the defense, the pick and roll, 1 on 1 play, 3 on 3 competition and 5 on 5 team play.

Dinner on the 21st and lunch on the 22nd will provided to all campers. Overnight campers will stay in the dorms and eat breakfast only at the C4C on June 22.

Team Camp
June 8-10, 2014
Ages: High School
Costs: $600 per team;
Check In: TBA
Overnight accomodations are not available through the camp. A few of the hotels that are nearby include the Marriott, Boulder Outlook and the Broker Inn.

Come take advantage of building team chemistry and skill through 5 on 5 play at the Colorado Team Camp.  We guarantee 6 games and 1 time and score situation.  Games will be played in the Coors Events Center and Practice Facility.  Varsity and JV levels are available.

Camp Features:
All campers receive a free camp shirt
Every game is officiated by High School and/or Collegiate referees


Camp Highlights:

  • Nike T-shirt and camp ball for all campers

  • Seminars on strength and conditioning, NCAA rules and academic eligibility
  • Mini-clinics, coaching seminars and instruction featuring CU's coaching staff

Health Care and Insurance:

All campers will be covered by a group accident policy provided by the camp at no cost.  Camp insurance is secondary to the camper's primary personal insurance.

A certified athletic trainer will be on site at all times during camp hours.

What to Bring:

All campers should wear gym shorts, T-shirt, 1-2 pair of socks, basketball shoes and ankle braces if necessary. Please leave all jewelry and valuables at home. All campers will need to bring a sack lunch for Individual Camp.

  • Any remaining balance will be charged to your credit card on June 1, 2014.
  • Any campers signing up after June 1, will need to pay in full at the time of registration.
  • After receiving your on-line application, you will receive a confirmation letter detailing final check-in procedures.

Refund Policy:

All cancellations must be received in writing or faxed before the beginning of camp.  No shows will be charged the $75 deposit.


Camp will be held in the Events Center practice facility, Coors Events Center main court, Balch Field House and the Events Center outdoor courts.

The Colorado Girl's Basketball Camps are designed to provide a rewarding experience to campers of all ages, abilities, and levels. The camp will be centrally located at the University of Colorado's Coors Events Center-home of the CU Men's and Women's Basketball teams. The camp staff will consist of the Colorado Women's Basketball coaching staff, current and former CU players, as well as regional college and high school coaches. Fundamental instruction, individual and team competition will be a part of all camp activities. Be a part of the CU experience and join us this summer!
