WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The University of Colorado track and field team placed 19 on the Pac-12 All-Academic teams, including six selections to the men's and women's first teams, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Stephen Kasica, Jerome Perkins and Andy Wacker were named to the men's first team, while Nikki Look, Jessica Tebo and Rachel Viger were selected to the women's first team. Look, Tebo and Viger all have perfect 4.00 grade point averages. Earlier this season Look and Tebo were also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District second team.
Three Buffs were also selected to the second team. Matt Biegner was the only male to earn the honor, while Alyssa Frank and Diana George were chosen for the second team. CU placed 10 on the honorable mention team.
To be eligible for the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and either be a starter or participate in a minimum of 50% of the schedule contests.
