FRESHMAN (2012): Paxton made an impressive debut, contributing an assist in the Buffs' season opener against Northern Colorado (3-0). Paxton played in 19 games, made three starts and tied for third on the team with two goals. She scored with just eight minutes remaining in regulation to send the Pac-12 home opener against Washington (1-2) into overtime. In a tough 1-2 battle against defending NCAA Champions Stanford, Paxton gave the Buffs the upper hand right before the break.  

HIGH SCHOOL: Paxton was a first-team all-state and all-division selection and earned Division 5a2 Player of the Year honors her senior year at Boulder Creek High School in Anthem, Ariz. That season she was the captain of the 16-4 Jaguars, and had 13 assists and a school season record of 33 goals. Paxton played club soccer with SC Del Sol out of Phoenix. The club won the 2012 state title and earned a bid to the Elite Club National League national championship. SC Del Sol also won a state title in 2010 and a Women's Premier Soccer League title in 2011. Prior to SC Del Sol, Paxton was a member of the Sereno Soccer Club, where she won six consecutive state titles. In 2009, the club won the Far West Regional League title and became a Region IV finalist.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Paxton is currently an open-option major. She is also interested in marketing, public relations and sports broadcasting.

PERSONAL: Her full name is Emily Alexandra Paxton. She was born October 23, 1994 to Sean and Jessica Paxton. Her father played football for Fort Lewis College. She has two younger brothers named Connor and Luke. She enjoys hanging out with friends, going to sporting events and doing outdoor activities. She has family in Colorado and looks forward to experiencing the state's seasonal changes.
