Women Earn At-Large Bid To NCAA Championship

BOULDER  - The No. 8 University of Colorado women's cross country team earned an at-large bid to participate in the 2010 NCAA Cross Country Championships on Monday, November 22, as announced by the NCAA on Sunday.

The No. 9 CU men earned an automatic bid to the national championship on Saturday  by placing second at the NCAA Mountain Region Championship behind New Mexico.

The women's team finished third at regionals behind New Mexico and Texas Tech. The top two teams earn automatic bids to advance to nationals.

The NCAA Championship will be held in Terre Haute, Ind. and will take place at the La Vern Gibson Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center.
