BOULDER-University of Colorado freshman guard Andre Roberson received a CU Athlete of the Week honor after two stellar performances during the week of December 13-19.

Roberson recorded a pair of double-doubles helping the University of Colorado men's basketball team to a pair of home victories. The Buffaloes defeated The Citadel, 89-61, and then crushed Longwood, 104-59 to remain unbeaten at home this season at 7-0.

Roberson, from San Antonio, Texas, averaged 12.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, in addition to shooting 52.9 percent from the field. Roberson scored 11 points with 10 rebounds against The Citadel, then scored 14 points and grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds against Longwood.

Roberson became the first CU freshman to record back-to-back double-doubles since Richard Fox accomplished the feat during 1999-2000 season. Roberson also became the first CU player overall to accomplish the double-double feat in back-to-back games since Richard Roby (2007-08).
