BOULDER - Nikki Look and Jessica Tebo, members of the University of Colorado track & field team, were selected to the Capital One Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country Team as selected by CoSIDA.  Both garnered second team honors.

Look is a junior from Castle Rock, Colo. and has recorded a perfect 4.00 grade point average while majoring in applied mathematics at Colorado. She was honored at the annual academic breakfast earlier this year with a pair of awards, the Scholar Athlete and Buffalo Leadership and Initiative Award.

As a member of the cross country and track and field programs, she recorded personal bests in the 800 and 1,500-meter runs this season. She clocked a time of 2 minutes, 20.70 seconds in the 800 at the Potts Invite (3/17), which placed her third at the meet. Look ran her fastest 1,500 time at the Mt. SAC Relays (4/19), crossing the finish in 4:38.82.

Tebo is a graduate student from Sammamish, Wash. She recorded a 4.00 GPA in her two years of graduate school while earning her masters of curriculum and education K-12. In 2011 she was named the recipient of the NCAA Walter Byers Postgraduate Scholarship, which is given to one female and one male. The former Seattle Pacific standout was a three-time USTFCCCA Academic All-American, a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American and the CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year for women's track and cross country for all NCAA and NAIA divisions in 2010. In 2011 she earned Academic All-District first team honors as a Buff.

Tebo has found success at Colorado as she is one of three Buffaloes that will compete at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, June 6-9, in Des Moines, Iowa. Tebo qualified for the championships in the 5,000-meter run, finishing third in her section at the NCAA West Preliminary Championship in Austin, Texas on May 26. She ran a personal best in the event, as well as the third best time in CU history, of 15:19.43 at the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invite (4/29). The time is the best in the NCAA and ranks sixth in the U.S. this season.
