BOULDER -Shalaya Kipp, Jessica Tebo and Aric Van Halen have punched their tickets and will represent the University of Colorado at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, June 6-9, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Kipp and Van Halen will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, while Tebo will race in the 5,000-meter run. The women's steeplechase semifinals are set for 6:45 p.m. on June 6, with the finals at 5:30 p.m. on June 8. The men's steeplechase semis are on June 7 at 6:25 p.m. and the finals are scheduled for 10:52 a.m. on June 9. The 5k finals will also be contested on June 9 at 11:19 a.m.

Kipp is no stranger to the national championships as this is her third trip. She has earned a pair of All-American honors in the event, finishing fifth in 2010 and third in 2011. Kipp has established herself as the favorite this season, clocking an NCAA season best time of 9:43.09 on April 29. She easily won the NCAA West Prelim quarterfinals, running 9:58.38 and won the Pac-12 title in 9:57.39.

Tebo also has the top time in the NCAA in the 5k at 15:19.43, which is the third fastest in CU history. Tebo, who ran at Seattle Pacific before coming to CU for graduate school, is no stranger to national championships meets. She won 12 titles at SPU between cross country and track and field and should be well prepared for her final collegiate race. Tebo is the Pac-12 5k Champion and was third at the west prelims.

This will be the first trip to the NCAA Championships for Van Halen, who ranks 13th in the NCAA with his personal best of 8:42.79. Van Halen placed second at the Pac-12 Championships and was third at the west prelims.
