Welcome to Buffaloes Summer Break where CUBuffs.com catches up with Colorado student-athletes and coaching staff members throughout the summer "off season."

Today's installment comes from assistant soccer coach Jason Green. One of the newest Buffaloes, coach Green is in his first season at Colorado as he came to Boulder with new head coach Danny Sanchez after four years at Wyoming. Last season, he helped lead the Cowgirls to a school record 12 wins and the program's first ever spot in the Mountain West Conference Tournament championship game.

What is your favorite summer time activity?
Traveling. I love to see different parts of the world, so anytime of the year I love to travel.

Favorite vacation destination and why?
London. I just fell in love with the city the first time I went, so now I go back as much as I can. I plan on coaching soccer there one day as well. The soccer is great and the city has so much to offer.

What was your first summer job?
Coaching soccer. (Current CU head coach) Danny (Sanchez) would pay me (which was a lot at the time) to come out and coach a summer skills soccer program.

What was your most memorable summer job experience?
I also delivered pizza. One time I got lost and could not find the house, so I just went home with the pizza and did not go back to work.

Explain one aspect of your job during the off-season that fans may not realize
They think we are on holiday when the season is not going on, but we are kept very busy.

The most important thing your current student-athletes should be doing this summer?
I think they should be having fun. I think that is the key in life, is to always be happy.

What is your favorite moment here at Colorado so far?
My first days on campus, I was welcomed by so many people. I still think about it every day. I have never received such a warm welcome any other place.

A summer-time activity you enjoyed growing up that is NOT your current sport?
Dancing

Best advice for youth that are beginning to compete in athletics.
Find a sport you have a passion for. Passion is my favorite emotion and I feel it does so much for you.

If you could sit in with one other coaching staff at CU for a game/event that is not your sport, which staff would it be and why?
Women's Golf. I love to play golf but I can't seem to be as good as I want to be.With Anne’s success in her career, and a few pointers she has given me around the office, I know she could make me a better golfer.

If you could bring one famous person to Colorado for a day-long tour who would it be, and what would you do with them?
I would like to play golf with (Golf Channel's) Holly Sonders!
