Junior guard Jeremy Adams and the Colorado men's basketball team are in Europe for a five-game, 10-day tour, spanning across France, Belgium and The Netherlands. Adams will check in with CUBuffs.com throughout the trip to give fans the inside scoop on the trip.
What’s up Buff Nation,
This is your fellow Buff Jeremy Adams here to give you an inside look on our foreign tour.
Today (Tuesday, Aug. 14) has been a long day. We arrived in Paris around 9:30 a.m. and began sightseeing. The plane ride over was eight hours long and surprisingly comfortable - for the most part. Although it was clear to see that we were tired, we made the most out of today.
After all you know what they say..."When in Paris”...(well that was my joke for the day) I digress. The best part of the day was the hour-long cruise (Seine River) along the river banks of Paris. While on the cruise, we interacted with the locals and saw exactly how beautiful Paris really is. With only two more days left in Paris, I hope to make the most of this once in a lifetime trip with the team.
Various people have asked me, in the past few weeks, "Why are we taking a foreign trip?" For those of you who do not know, every four years the NCAA allows college teams to practice 10 times in the summer and take a foreign trip to compete against other teams. The foreign trip could not have come at a better time, considering we have seven new faces on this team.
With only one senior on the team, Sabatino “Diablo” Chen, we are very young and need all the experience we can get. Our first game of the tour is against AMW France Elite (Wednesday, Aug. 15). I hear they are a very good team with one or two NBA players. Everyone is excited for our first game of this trip. We have been competing against each other all summer, now we finally get a chance to see how we stack up against a pretty good pro team.
While we are on this trip to get better as a team, we also are here for the cultural experience. The team is very grateful and appreciative for the privilege at hand and would like to thank all who made this possible. It looks like it is getting past my bed time, so I must bid you all adieu. Talk to you all later. Go Buffs!!!
