BOULDER- The University of Colorado volleyball team will scrimmage on Saturday from 4-6 p.m. in the upper gym at the practice facility next to the Coors Events Center.

The public is invited to attend and there will be a meet and greet with the team following the scrimmage.

The Buffs will start the season on August 24 at the Sam Houston State Invitational against Texas Southern at 3 p.m. (MT). On August 25, CU will hit the court at 9 a.m. for a match against Louisiana-Lafayette. SHSU will host the Buffs in the final match of the tournament at 6 p.m.

"We've been seeing a lot of great things in the gym since starting preseason last week, but we still have work to do before the season starts," head coach Liz Kritza said. "This scrimmage is a great way to simulate a match environment, so we hope the public will come and join us. We are excited about this year and we can't wait for our first match next week."

Colorado will open up its home portion of the season August 31-September 1 with the Omni Hotels Colorado Volleyball Classic at the Coors Events Center. Season tickets are on sale now for just $25 which includes 15 matches.
