BOULDER—The University of Colorado football team will take the national spotlight as the Buffaloes host Arizona State on ESPN’s Thursday Night College Football with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. at Folsom Field.

The CU-Boulder main campus will be operating on a normal weekday schedule, including classes and offices, meaning the campus will be hosting abnormally high volumes of traffic and congestion with the combination of a normal weekday campus schedule and football game-related activities normally reserved for weekends.

CU is strongly encouraging those on campus throughout the day to take alternate forms of transportation including riding a bicycle or taking public transportation.  Visit www.rtd-denver.com for bus schedules in the area for the day and special routes around the game.

There will be no public, non-donor parking available on campus.  Fans with a parking passes will be guaranteed a spot on campus, but not guaranteed a spot in your regular lot.  Parking lots for those with parking passes will be open starting at 3 p.m. and parking attendants will direct those with passes to a nearby lot if necessary.

Fans that do not have on-campus parking for gameday, the following four options are available:

  • RTD’s BuffRide will be operating throughout the Denver metro area. Buses start departing about two hours and 30 minutes before kickoff from Park-n-Ride locations. For Park-n-Ride locations and fare information visit http://www.rtd-denver.com.
  • CU East Campus, located at 33rd and Colorado Avenue, will offer $10 parking per car with a free shuttle running to the stadium before and after the game.
  • Park at the 29th Street Mall and catch a ride on RTD’s HOP bus for $2.25 per person each way.
  • Park in downtown Boulder and fill your meter until 7 p.m. (it’s free after 7 p.m.) and again catch the HOP to get up to the stadium for $2.25 per person each way.

Beginning at 3 p.m., game day traffic management will close Colorado Avenue and 18th Street to bus service and vehicle traffic. Bus stops located on Colorado Avenue and 18th Street will be inaccessible to bus routes during this time and buses will be re-routed to stops along Regent Drive.

For more details on game day parking and transportation information visit http://www.colorado.edu/pts/content/101112-asu-football-game and http://www.cubuffs.com/gameday.

Thanks for your support of CU Athletics. We can't wait to stand Shoulder to Shoulder with you on Thursday night! Go Buffs!
