Steve Hansburg is in his sixth year as an Academic Mentor, joining the Herbst Academic Center in the fall of 2006.

Prior to his arrival at Colorado, Hansburg was in the general practice of law in New York City. Both his undergraduate and law degrees were earned at New York University.

An avid runner, Hansburg has run 25 marathons ranging in places from Miami to Montreal, including the New York City Marathon eight times and the Boston Marathon once. He has also competed in several triathlons, each time placing in his age group. He has twice participated in 24-hour relays.

Hansburg lives in Spring Gulch, just northwest of Lyons, with his wife, Ginny Davidson, their Scottish Terrier, Hattie, and cat, Savannah. They have two children and six grandchildren.
