FSN Rocky Mountain Schedule Announced

BOULDER - FSN Rocky Mountain will telecast nine University of Colorado men's basketball games and eight women's games during the 2009-10 season, the network announced on Thursday. 

 

FSN Rocky Mountain is also slated to telecast one CU women’s volleyball game and one women’s soccer game this fall.

 

FSN Rocky Mountain will televise the soccer team's home season finale and "Senior Day" when the Buffaloes play Texas Tech Friday, Oct. 30, at 3 p.m. The volleyball then team takes center stage, hosting Kansas on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.  

 

The CU men's basketball telecast schedule gets underway on FSN Rocky Mountain when Colorado hosts Coppin State Monday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m.  Colorado's game at Oregon State, which is part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series, on Friday, Dec. 4 at 9 p.m. (MST) will be broadcast nationally on FSN. The telecast schedule includes a visit from 2009 NCAA Tournament participant Cal State Northridge (Tuesday, Dec. 22, 5:30 p.m.), and Big 12 Conference home games against Baylor (Tuesday, Jan. 12, 7 p.m.) and Nebraska (Wednesday, Jan. 27, 8 p.m.).

Thirteen of CU's 16 Big 12 games -- including all eight home games -- will be aired either nationally or regionally by one of CU's Big 12 media partners. In all 24 men's games are scheduled for either regional or national television.  

FSN Rocky Mountain's women's basketball telecast schedule begins with CU hosting the University of Denver Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m.  The schedule features a match-up with 2009 NCAA Tournament participant Virginia (Saturday, Jan. 2, 3:30 p.m.) and six Big 12 games.  The Buffs' games against Missouri (Saturday, Jan. 9, 12 p.m.) and Oklahoma State (Sunday, Jan. 24, 2 p.m.) will air nationally on FSN. The OSU game was moved from its orginially scheduled date of Saturday, Jan. 23, to accomodate the FSN national broadcast.

 

One of the most televised women's basketball teams in the nation, the Buffaloes have appeared on 72 regional or national telecasts since the 2001-02 season. The 2009-10 campaign will also mark the eighth straight season in which CU has at least seven regional or national broadcasts.

 

As per Big 12 Conference guidelines, CU men's basketball games will be shown within the state of Colorado boundaries.  All CU women's events air throughout the Rocky Mountain territory and will be available nationally on DirecTV and DISH Network.

In addition to the eight CU women's games, FSN is slated to telecast 18 additional Big 12 women's basketball games, plus seven games of the Big 12 Championship, live nationally.
