Trae Tashiro enters his third year at the University of Colorado as the athletic trainer for the men's basketball program and spirit squad.

Tashiro is a Colorado native and graduated from Skyline High School in 1995. He continued his education with an undergraduate degree in kinesiology in 2001 from the University of Northern Colorado.

From there, Tashiro earned his master's degree in sports medicine at the University of Virginia (2003). After UVA, Tashiro spent the following year working at the University of Denver as an athletic trainer intern where he was responsible for the men's soccer and women's lacrosse programs. 

Over the next three years, Tashiro crafted his expertise as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Arizona (2004-07). He would later return to the Centennial State becoming an assistant athletic trainer with the Denver Broncos from 2007-2010.

Tashiro is married to the former Kimberly Bender. The Tashiro's have a son, Grayson Bruce, born in April 2011.
