SOPHOMORE (2012): Jones started all 20 games, once again leading her class in minutes, totaling 1,838 on the season. She was an important part of the Buffs' backline, helping the Buffs to eight shutouts, including a record-setting three to start the season. Jones was also impressive at the net, scoring the first two goals of her career off just two shots. She put the Buffs on the board against then-ranked No. 3 UCLA (1-2) and scored the final goal in CU's 3-0 shutout of Arizona.
FRESHMAN (2011): She led freshman with 1,255 minutes played in 18 games (16 starts). Her one assist of the season was in her first collegiate game, a 5-0 win against Colorado College in the Colorado Cup.
HIGH SCHOOL: She had a standout senior year, both athletically and academically at Smoky Hill High School. Jones was named the Wendy's High School Heisman Winner, and made the Aurora All-City team and All-Conference first team for her play. In the classroom she was awarded the Faculty Award for Scholarly Accomplishments, named to the Academic All-State first team, and finished as an honor graduate (finishing in the top 5 percent) and honor roll student for 2011. Jones helped her Smoky Hill High School team to the Class 5A state quarterfinals her junior year. Following her junior season, she earned a first-team all-conference mention, an academic all-state honor and was a first-team Aurora Sentinel All-City Girls Soccer selection. She was named second-team all-conference her sophomore year. Following her sophomore season, she earned a second-team all-conference mention and was a second-team Aurora Sentinel All-City Girls Soccer selection. She has been an AVID scholar for three years leading up to her senior season at SHHS. She also focused a lot of her time playing for the Colorado Storm Copa Club Team. In 2007, she helped her team to the Nike Invitational finals, the State Cup semi-finals and the Disney Showcase finals. In 2008, her team made the West Coast FC finals and the State Cup quarter-finals. In 2009, her team won the Storm Showcase tournament along with being a State Cup semi-finalist. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is a Link Leader.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Jones is majoring in management in the Leeds School of Business at Colorado.
PERSONAL: Bianca Skyttersaeter Jones is the daughter of Elton and Girdy Jones of Aurora, Colo. She has one younger brother Caesar. She comes from an extremely athletic family as her father played football at CU, her mother skied at New Mexico, her aunt Toini Skyttersaeter skied at CU, her aunt Runa Skyttersaeter skied at Utah and her cousin Clifton Abraham played football at Florida State before becoming a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers. When Bianca isn't playing soccer, she enjoys skiing, running, traveling and pottery. She says that an interesting fact about her is that her first language was Norwegian.
