The loss drops Colorado's record to 3-18 overall and 0-11 in the Big 12 Conference while Missouri improves to 12-9 overall and 4-7 in Big 12 play.
Missouri started the match with the 1-0 lead after they won all three doubles positions to secure the doubles point. CU's best chance to pick up a victory in doubles play came in the No. 2 spot in which freshman Kristina Schleich and junior Ania Anuszkiewicz played a tough match with MU's Kaitlyn Ritchie and Maria Christensen, but eventually fell 8-6.
In singles play, the Tigers easily won the No. 4, 3 and 2 positions to secure the overall match victory.
The most exciting singles match of the day came in the No. 1 spot between Schleich and Ritchie. Schleich fell to Ritchie in the first set, but she rallied to take the second set, 6-3. Schleich's second set victory was the only set the Buffs won on the day. In the third set, Ritchie got the better of Schleich, winning the tiebreak 10-8.
CU would go on to lose the No. 5 and 6 singles spots in straight sets.
Colorado will now head to Waco, Texas on Apr. 28-May 1 for the final Big 12 Championships.
The Buffs will be the No. 12 seed and will play five seed Nebraska on the first day. The Cornhuskers defeated CU, 7-0 last week in Boulder.
