BOULDER—The University of Colorado is extending its football season ticket special through July 31, it was announced Monday. Originally, the discounted $140 price for season tickets was set to expire this week.
Season tickets include the Colorado State game in Denver so at $140, it is just $20 a game for a seven-game slate. The price will return to $175 on Aug. 1. The Buffs open the 2012 season with Colorado State on Sept. 1 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver and then host Sacramento State in Boulder on Sept. 8.
The Pac-12 Conference slate then gets underway with five games this season, starting with UCLA on Sept. 29 before Arizona State visits Folsom Field on Thursday, Oct. 11. CU then hosts Stanford on Nov. 3 and closes out the season with two home games, first against Washington on Nov. 17, followed by a Friday, Nov. 23, game with Utah.
The Buffs will feature a youthful team in 2012 which includes 46 returning lettermen and more than 50 underclassmen. Players report Aug. 5 with the fall camp practices slated to start on Aug. 6.
