BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Colorado women's tennis team officially began the 2012 fall season with singles and doubles play at the Adidas Hoosier Classic hosted by Indiana University.
The three-day event is from Sept. 28-30 with the host Hoosiers, in addition to the Buffaloes, Kansas State, Notre Dame and Purdue at the IU Tennis Center. There will be four flights of singles play and one flight of doubles taking place throughout the weekend.
CU sophomore Ashley Tiefel picked up the lone victory for the Buffaloes in singles play defeating Indiana's Gabrielle Rubenstein, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0(5). It was Tiefel's third victory in four career matches played in the fall.
