Colorado To Play UTEP In WNIT Third Round

BOULDER - The University of Colorado will travel to face UTEP in a Postseason Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) third round game on Friday, March 28, at 7 p.m. at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas.

Colorado, 19-14 overall, advanced to the third round with a 79-68 win over Southern Utah on March 22. UTEP, 26-7 overall and the third place team out of Conference USA defeated Saint Mary’s (Calif.) 76-64 on Monday in its second round game.

This will be the sixth meeting between Colorado and UTEP and the first since November 1982. The Buffaloes won all five previous meetings, four of which came when the two programs were members of the AIAW Intermountain Conference from 1976-79.

All Colorado postseason games will be carried live on KKZN AM 760 and online audio coverage is also available through the BuffsTV player at CUBuffs.com.
