WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – University of Colorado student-athletes Carla Manzi Tenorio and Julyette Steur have been named to the 2014 Pac-12 Conference Women's Tennis All-Academic second team, commissioner Larry Scott announced Thursday.

To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point-average and be a significant contributor.

Both were named second team conference selections a year ago.

Manzi Tenorio will graduate in December 2014 and is majoring in chemical engineering. With this honor, she has been recognized all four years for her academic excellence during her time at CU. She’s a three-time Pac-12 Academic second team selection and was named the team's Academic MVP (highest grade point average) her freshman year in 2010-11.

During her freshman year, Manzi Tenorio was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete (equivalent to being named an academic All-American).

Steur, a senior-to-be majoring in business, was recently named the team’s GPA winner this past season, earning a two-semester GPA of 3.91. It’s the second straight year Steur was named the team’s GPA winner.

A three-year letterwinner, Steur was named the Mountain Region’s Player to Watch by the ITA. She is now a two-time Pac-12 Academic second team selection.
