Buffs Introduce Three New Seating Options At Folsom
Release: June 17, 2014
By: CUBuffs.com

BOULDER - The University of Colorado Athletic Department is introducing three new premium seating products which are currently under construction and will be available beginning this season at Folsom Field.

Demolition started on CU’s Athletics Complex Expansion on May 12, beginning with sections 1, 2 and 3 immediately south of Dal Ward, in addition to sections 121 and 122 in the north east corner of Folsom Field. Those areas will be replaced with two new seating areas featuring three distinctive products.

The north end zone will feature a new space called the Touchdown Club. For 2014, it will consist of two seating opportunities, the Touchdown Club Loge Boxes and the Touchdown Club Seats. The Touchdown Club Loge Boxes are available for sale to the public now.

The Loge Boxes are 40 semi-private boxes in total, 20 on each side of the seating area. Each box seats four guests on movable swivel-style chairs with a drink rail at the front. Other amenities will include all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverage and in-seat service. In 2015, added amenities include a parking pass and access to the private Touchdown Club. For 2014 total costs for each loge box including ticket cost, donation and amenities will be $8,000 or $2,000 per seat and for 2015 it will be $10,000 or $2,500 per seat. A two or three year agreement is required to purchase the Loge Boxes.

Between the two Loge seating areas, in the center of the north end zone, will be the Touchdown Club Seats. The amenities for this season will include exterior cushioned extra-wide seats with cup holders and access to purchase food and beverage. Next season food and non-alcoholic beverages will be included with access to the private Touchdown Club.

Those season ticket holders who were seated in the previous seats in section 2 will have the opportunity to sit in the Touchdown Club Seats for the 2014 season based upon priority rank and subject to availability. Once those patrons have exercised their first right of refusal and been seated, any remaining seats will be available to other Colorado Football Season Ticket Holders during the second week of July and allocated in priority point order. After that priority order period is over, seats will be available to the general public towards the end of July. Seats in the Touchdown Club Seats are $470 per ticket, plus a $550 donation for a total of $1,020 per seat for 2014.

The third new opportunity for Buffs fans will be the Champions Club Seats in the northeast corner of Folsom Field. These seats will provide great views of Folsom Field as well as the Flatirons, and will feature ultra-light, moveable mesh bar-height chairs and drink rails for fans to enjoy food and beverages.

Similar to the Touchdown Club Seats, those season ticket holders who are being displaced from section 122 will have the first opportunity to sit in the Champions Club Seats for 2014. Once those patrons have exercised their first right of refusal and have been seated, then any remaining available seats will be available to other Colorado Football Season Ticket Holders during the second week of July. Once that priority order period is over, seats will be available to the general public towards the end of July. Seats in the Champions Club for 2014 are $470 per ticket, plus a $130 donation for a total of $600 per seat for 2014.
