Kelly Dowd is the Director of Special Events and External Groups for the University of Colorado Foundation. She coordinates CU Athletic Special Events such as Buff Club luncheons and team banquets and is a liaison to CU's Buff Club chapters.
Dowd has been with the foundation since 2004, previously working as a development associate in the Buff Club before taking over as Director of Special Events in 2008. She worked as intern for the foundation in 2001-02 as an undergrad at CU. In the summer of 2003, Dowd worked in Washington D.C. as an intern for Colorado Senator Wayne Allard.
Dowd graduated from CU in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She was active in the Chi Omega sorority where she served as the Philanthropy Chair. She studied abroad in London in 2002.
A native of Niwot, Colo., Dowd graduated from Niwot High School in 2000. She enjoys traveling, family, friends and sports.
