A Word from Coach McConnell-Miller
Greetings from the University of Colorado! Our staff and team are so excited to introduce you to our Summer Basketball Camp for Girls.
These specialty camps will be conducted in our state of the art facility, the Coors Events Center, home of our Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams. Each camp is deigned for girls interested and excited about women’s basketball and furthering their advancement in the sport. We welcome girls of all ages and levels of development.
We offer outstanding instruction from our staff, including collegiate and high school coaches, and daily involvement from CU players. You will be provided with the direction and development designed to teach basic skills, introduce new drills, and enhance team concepts.
We want every camper to have a rewarding and enjoyable experience. We look forward to spending part of our summer with you.

The Colorado Basketball Camp for Girls is designed to provide a rewarding experience to campers of all ages, abilities, and levels. The camp will be centrally located at the University of Colorado’s Coors Events Center—home of the CU men’s and women’s basketball teams. The camp staff will consist of the Colorado’s women’s basketball coaching staff, current and former CU players, as well as regional college and high school coaches. Fundamental instruction, individual and team competition will be a part of all camp activities. Be a part of the CU experience and join us this summer!
CU offers basketball camps that provide instruction and are open to any and all campers, limited only by the total number of camp participants allowable at each camp, the age of the campers and the gender of the campers.
Advanced Skills Camp
June 5-6
Our Advanced Skills Camp is designed to take your game (or your team’s) to the next level. Emphasis will be placed on offensive skills including: position work (guard, forward, post), using screens and reading the defense, the pick-and-roll, 1-on-1 play, 3-on-3 competition and 5-on-5 team play. Reduced rates are available for teams/groups of 10 or more. Overnight campers will be housed at the Boulder Broker Inn. Lunch and dinner provided to all campers. Breakfast will be provided to overnight campers.

Limit: 150 Campers
Camp Hours: 9:30am - 8:00pm on June 5th, 9:00am - 4:00pm on June 6th

Individual Camp
June 8-11
Our Individual Camp is a great opportunity for the beginner or experienced player. The camp is designed to develop and refine fundamental skills in a fun and entertaining atmosphere. The sessions will offer intense and specialized basketball instruction in both offensive and defensive areas. Camp highlights include awards and contests such as free throws, 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and hot shot. Campers will also compete in 5-on-5 games throughout the day. All campers will be divided into teams based upon age and ability. Lunch will be provided to campers only on the last day of camp. Please bring a sack lunch or money to buy pizza/snacks.

Ages: 8-18 Commuter Camp Only
Limit: 200 Campers
Camp Hours: 9:00am - 4:00pm

Shooting Camp
June 12
This camp is designed to improve footwork, shooting technique and accuracy through instruction and repetition. Each camper will be taught the fundamental approach to shooting through a step-by-step shooting progression--the lay-up, set shot, pull up jumper, shooting off screens, and the 3-point shot. Everything you need to become more of an offensive threat. Camp highlights include: games and competitions, lower baskets for younger campers and an individualized shooting workout to use throughout the summer. Lunch will be provided to all campers.
Price: $75 or $65 if you attended the Individual Camp (will not receive t-shirt or camp ball)

Health Care and Insurance

All campers will be covered by a group accident policy provided by the camp at no cost. Camp insurance is secondary to the camper’s primary personal insurance.

A certified athletic trainer will be on-site at all times during camp hours.
What to Bring

All campers should wear gym shorts, t-shirt, 1-2 pairs of socks, basketball shoes and ankle braces if necessary. Please leave all jewelry and valuables at home.

All campers will need to bring a sack lunch for Individual Camp. Pizza and snacks will be available to purchase.
Facilities and Accommodations
The Colorado Basketball Camp for Girls will be held in the Coors Events Center and various indoor courts on campus. Overnight accomodation for Elite Campers will be at the Boulder Broker Inn. Supervision will be provided.

Download a brochure and registration form. Complete and mail in the registration form along with your $75 non-refundable deposit for each session. Any remaining balance will be due before the start of camp. After receiving your application, you will receive a confirmation letter detailing all check-in procedures.
