Welcome to Buffaloes Summer Break where CUBuffs.com catches up with Colorado student-athletes and coaching staff members throughout the summer "off season."
Today's installment comes from Andre Roberson, a junior-to-be on the men's basketball team. A San Antonio native, Roberson averaged 11.6 points and 11.1 rebounds per game, helping the Buffaloes to the 2012 Pac-12 Conference Tournament Championship and a berth in the 2012 NCAA Tournament. A first-team All-Pac-12 performer, Roberson ranked third in the nation in rebounding, and set school records in 2011-12 for overall rebounds (401) and defensive rebounds (290).
What is your favorite summer time activity?
Favorite vacation destination and why?
Bahamas, because I’ve never been there before.
What was your first summer job?
Being a referee for the little kids.
What was your most memorable summer job experience?
Helping the kids.
What is the most important activity you engage in during the summer months that helps prepare you for the next season?
The (Machine) Gun and the chair drill.

What is your favorite moment here at Colorado so far?
Going to the NCAA Tournament
The thing that surprised you the most about the move from the Big 12 to the Pac-12 Conferences is:
The campus life and the arenas.
Best advice for youth that are beginning to compete in athletics.
Work on fundamentals and do the intangibles.
If you could play a single game/event for a CU team that is not your sport, which would it be and why?
Football, because it would bring back memories.
If you could bring one famous person to Colorado for a day-long tour who would it be, and what would you do with them?
LeBron James and play basketball! What else?!
