AT COLORADO: This Season (Jr.)-Figures into the placekicker mix for the kickoff duties; he joined the team midway during the 2009 season as a walk-on despite never having played organized football. At 6-foot-6, he is easily the tallest kicker in CU history and owns just under a 34-inch vertical jump.. In the three main spring scrimmages, he was 5-of-5 on PAT kicks, 2-of-6 on field goals (makes from 45 and 30 yards, the former CU's longest field goal in the spring), and had three kickoffs, two which went for touchbacks.
AT CONCORDIA (2007/Fr.)-He lettered as a midfielder in soccer at Concordia College in Portland, Ore. He played in 11 games (261 minutes) with two starts, getting off six shots, three on goal. Under coach Dan Birkey, Concordia was 16-4, 13-1 in league competition.
HIGH SCHOOL-He earned three letters apiece in soccer and basketball, participating on two state champion soccer teams in soccer in 2003 and 2006. As a senior, he led FCHS to an 18-1 record and the title, scoring a state record 34 goals; he earned Christian All-American and first-team All-State honors for the year. He scored the game winning goal in the 82nd minute of the state championship game, as Faith Christian defeated Denver Christian, 1-0. He earned first-team All-Metro Conference as a senior after garnering second-team mention as a junior.
ACADEMICS-He is majoring in Business Management at Colorado.
PERSONAL-He was born October 2, 1988 in Arvada, Colo. His hobbies include playing volleyball and basketball. He has had a wide range of summer jobs, from interning as a marketing consultant to being a window cleaner. He often volunteers for his church and special needs organizations.
