AT COLORADO: This Season (Fr.)-Projected as a placekicker and punter in his true freshman year in college. He joined the team as invited walk-on for August drills.
HIGH SCHOOL-He earned first-team All-Sunset League honors as a senior, when he converted 12-of-13 field goals and 30-of-32 extra point tries. He averaged just under 40 yards per punt while placing 10 inside-the-20 with a long boot of 62 yards. He earned honorable mention Sunset League honors as a junior, when he averaged 38 yards per punt and converted 8-of-10 field goals with a long of 42 yards. His career long field goal of 49 yards came during his senior year against Marina, and he kicked two game winning field goals in his career, a 19-yard kick that was the difference in a 23-20 win over Los Alamitos that same year and a 35-yard effort that beat Esperanza his junior season. He also set the Orange County record for the most consecutive extra point kicks made. Under coach Jeff Brinkley, NHHS was 6-4 his senior year, 8-4 his junior campaign and 7-4 his sophomore season. He also lettered three times in soccer as a midfielder, and as a junior he led the Sunset League in assists (16) while earning first-team all-league honors. Earned three letters playing baseball (outfield/pitcher), batting .279 as a senior with three home runs and 11 runs batted in, while posting a 3-4 record with 24 strikeouts in 25 innings; he earned first-team All-League honors that year.
