AT COLORADO: This Season (Fr.)-Projected as a linebacker as a true freshman in college; joined the team as an invited walk-on for August drills.
HIGH SCHOOL-He played one season at Boulder's Fairview High School, lettering under coach Tom McCartney at both defensive end and running back. He earned first-team All-Front Range Conference honors in helping the Knights to the Front Range league title and a 12-1 overall record. On offense, he rushed 53 times for 320 yards (6.0 avg.) and four touchdowns and caught two passes for 34 yards. Defensively, he was in on 95 tackles (29 solo, eight for losses including five quarterback sacks), along with three passes broken up, a forced fumble and one recovery. One of his best games came in a 28-14 win over Legacy, when he rushed for 81 yards on just nine carries and scored two touchdowns. He garnered second-team All-District 3A-8 honors as a junior, when had 27 tackles (11 solo), with 10 for losses, four quarterback sacks and a forced fumble. He had a season high six tackles against Wimberly. Liberty Hill was 14-1 his junior season and 14-0 his sophomore year under coach Jerry Vance, winning the state title in 2007 and the District 3A-8 crown both years.
ACADEMICS-He is interested in Biology as his major at Colorado. He was an honorable mention Academic All-State selection in 2008 in his final year at Liberty Hill High School.
PERSONAL-He was born February 14, 1991 in Shreveport, La. His hobbies include surfing, wakeboarding, playing the guitar and being involved in church activities.
