AT COLORADO: This Season (Fr.)-Projected as a defensive lineman in his true freshman year in college.

RUGBY-A member of the U20 Canadian National Team, he was a member of teams that competed in the 2009 U20 World Cup (in Japan) and in the 2010 U20 World Cup (in Russia).  He was also a member of Canada's U17 national team that competed all over the United Kingdom.

CANADIAN JUNIOR FOOTBALL (2009)-He played one season with the Okanagan Sun team in his hometown of Kelowna, British Columbia.  He had 29 tackles (22 solo), with three quarterback sacks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and four passes broken up.

SECONDARY (HIGH) SCHOOL-He played defensive end, outside linebacker and offensive tackle on his secondary school's football team, and was the team captain.  In rugby, he played one of the lock positions (which was one of the eight overall forward positions) and was team captain as well as his team's regional, provincial and national representative.  His team won the gold at the National Canadian Championships in both 2006 and 2007.  He was his school's Male Athlete of the Year as a junior (2006), when he also won the Male Sportsmanship Award.

ACADEMICS-He plans on majoring in Business at Colorado.   Earned honors in math in secondary school in British Columbia, where he was on the Honor Roll his sophomore through senior years (and on the Principal's List as junior and senior).

PERSONAL-He was born February 1, 1990 in Whitefish, Mont. Hobbies include playing rugby, rock climbing, surfing (anything on a board as he puts it) and flying.  He has his pilot's license (most Cessna models; he earned at age 17) and he's worked as one during summers; he's also been an apple picker.  He was recruited by both American and Canadian schools to play football.
