AT COLORADO: This Season (Fr.)-Projected as a tailback as a true freshman in college.
HIGH SCHOOL-As a senior, he was the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section Offensive Player of the Year for the Suburban League (and a first-team All-League performer) on defense at linebacker under coach Mike Moschetti, the former CU quarterback (class of '99). He gained 20-25 pounds of muscle prior to his senior year and his team improved from 4-7 his junior year to 13-1 as a senior, winning the CIF championship. He rushed 105 times for 900 yards and 15 touchdowns, and caught 24 passes for 315 yards and three touchdowns on offense while compiling 85 tackles, four sacks and three forced fumbles on defense. His most memorable game came in the state semifinal, when La Mirada defeated Laguna Hills, 27-24 in overtime: he rushed 27 times for 213 yards and two touchdowns. Against Garden Grove in the CIF championship game, La Mirada was down 21-7 at half but came back to win 48-27 when he had 12 carries for 115 yards and two touchdowns. Another top game as a senior was when he had just 12 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-12 win over league-rival Mayfair. His junior year, he had 22 tackles, including six quarterback sacks, and a fumble recovery, while on offense, he nine receptions for 107 yards and 10 carries for 34 yards. He also played baseball (outfield), batting .287 with two triples, one home run, 22 runs batted in and six stolen bases with a .415 on-base percentage as a senior, when LMHS won the Suburban League title.
ACADEMICS-He plans on majoring in Engineering at Colorado. He was a first-team All-CIF Scholar-Athlete as a senior in high school (second-team as a junior).
PERSONAL-He was born August 26, 1991 in La Habra, Calif. His hobbies include playing video games, running, working out and playing baseball in his free time.
