Colorado drops to 11-1 on the season and sees its 11-game win streak to begin the season snapped. The Buffaloes 11-0 start was the fourth-best in team history and the 11-game win streak overall ties for the eighth best.

Stanford improves its series lead over Colorado to 8-4 overall and 3-2 in Boulder. The Cardinal have won the last three, all three of which are Pac-12 Conference games.

Colorado has dropped both its Pac-12 home openers, falling to California 68-55 last season in Boulder. CU falls to 22-17 all-time in league openers.

Colorado's attendance of 5,888 was a season high and the most since March 5, 2011 when the Buffaloes drew 6,015 against No. 3 Baylor it their final regular season Big 12 Conference game.

Colorado's 40 points tied for its ninth fewest all-time and are the third fewest at home. Colorado's 14 points in the first half were the fewest at home in team history and tied for the third fewest  overall. The previous home first-half low was 16 against Villanova  on March 22, 2012 in the third round of the Postseason WNIT.

Colorado falls to 1-1 this season against ranked teams and is 3-6 under head coach Linda Lappe. The Buffaloes are 62-143 all-time against ranked teams, including a 38-46 mark at home. Tonight was the fourth straight time Colorado has faced Stanford as a top 5 team and the seventh time overall in the series where the Cardinal have been ranked in the top 5 of at least one of the major polls.

Chucky Jeffery (17 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal) has registered at least one assist in 54 straight games and 103 of 105 career games. She moved into sole possession of sixth place in career steals at 243.

Arielle Roberson (10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals) extended her school-record with her 12th game scoring in double-digits to begin her career.
