Dee Menzies joined the University of Colorado Compliance staff as Director of Eligibility Certification in September 2005.
Menzies began her intercollegiate athletics career in 1978 at the Western Athletic Conference office in suburban Denver, where she held several different positions. In 1999, after 21 years with the WAC, she became the Associate Athletics Director/Director of Compliance and Eligibility and Senior Woman Administrator at the University of Idaho.
Currently at CU, Menzies is responsible for providing leadership and management of the Registrar’s Academic/Room Scheduling section, as well as the Degree Audit section. She recommends campus-wide policy related to classroom scheduling and degree audit and works closely on the implementation of the Oracle Campus Solutions and Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) implementations.
She coordinates and monitors the initial and continuing eligibility for all student-athletes through each respective college. Menzies evaluates college transcripts on prospective student-athletes, monitors full-time enrollment for all student-athletes, maintains and updates continuing eligibility and enters data on Compliance Assistant Software.
Menzies is a native Coloradoan and 1977 graduate (BA, Technical Journalism) of Colorado State University. She lives in Lafayette with her two boxer dogs, Bruno and Lily.
