Buffalo Basics Camp

DAY CAMP ONLY
July 16-18, 2015
Daily Drop-off @ 9 a.m.

Ages 4-10
Recommended Skill Level: Novice
Cost: $130

PROVIDED: 9 sessions of skill instruction, supervision, box lunch daily.

DESCRIPTION: The Buff Basics camp is designed for the beginning player looking to learn or improve his or her skills. Campers will be divided into groups by age and skill level while learning appropriate movements and volleyball skills in a fun atmosphere. Whether you are new to the sport or just want a refresher course on basic skill in a fun learning environment, this camp is for you!

All Skills Day Camp

Recommended Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Cost: $395

PROVIDED: 15 sessions of skill instruction, supervision, box lunch daily.

DESCRIPTION: The All Skills Camp covers all aspects of the game of volleyball with an emphasis on fundamentals. The techniques and skills taught in this camp are designed to provide a strong foundation that allows players to develop into high level athletes as they continue to play. All skills will be covered including passing, setting, hitting, defense, blocking, serving as well as offensive and defensive systems.

Cost : $338 Commuter; $430 Overnight Stay in Dorms

PROVIDED: 9 sessions of skill instruction, supervision, and meals in the CU Center for Community.

DESCRIPTION: This camp is designed to help athletes master their position and gain an advantage over their competition. This skill camp covers all aspects of a specific position. Coaches will take the time to break down every detail of the position. Not only will athletes have the opportunity to choose the position in which they train, but this camp is great for athletes who also want to train in a new position! The techniques and skills learned will help give athletes the confidence and knowledge needed to improve! Options include: setter, middle blocker, outside/right-side hitter, and libero.

PROVIDED: 15 sessions of skill instruction, supervision, and meals in the CU Center for Community.

DESCRIPTION: This is an elite skills training camp. It is designed for the advanced player that has aspirations of playing high level collegiate volleyball in the future. The focus of training will be to prepare for the next level with drills and competition designed to refine techniques and enhance the overall level of the volleyball athlete. The world class coaching staff, cutting edge training techniques, and opportunity to compete against high level competition is only part of the fun. Campers will also have the opportunity to dig deep and experience Boulder with an outdoor adventure!

CU Destination Team Camp

High School Level Teams (min. 10 athletes per team)
Cost Per Athlete: $375 (Coach must submit $1,000 deposit to reserve your spot)

PROVIDED:  12-15 sessions of skill instruction, supervision, team bonding activi­ties, lodging and meals in the CU Center for Community.

DESCRIPTION:  A team camp like no other! This camp will help teams improve on all volleyball skill areas as well as team concepts such as serve receive, offensive and defensive strategies. We will offer multiple opportunities for team competition as well as offering significant team bonding activities to bring your team together to be ready for your high school season. Additionally, there will be chalk talk sessions for coach education from the CU Coaching staff. Campers will also have the opportunity to dig deep and experience Boulder with a unique outdoor adventure!

 

 

Additional Options
TRANSPORTATION: Pick-up and drop off to DIA airport - $50
ADDITIONAL LODGING: One additional night lodging in the dorms with one meal - $75

CANCELLATIONS:

General Refunds:

  • Partial Refunds will be issued up until May 1st, 2015. A $100 administrative fee will not be refunded at that time.
  • Following May 1st, 2015, no refunds will be issued unless they are purchased with the Insurance Policy below:
    • The “Insurance” Policy will be offered for all camp registration on a PER CAMP basis. Each insurance policy will be $10/camp and will allow for a partial refund of camp payment.  The $100 Administration fee will still be kept. The camper and/or parent of the camper must contact the camp director in writing within 1 week to the completion of camp to confirm cancellation and receive their partial refund.

Injuries Prior to Camp:

  • Any camper who is injured prior to the beginning of camp may receive a partial refund of their camp registration. A $100 Administration Fee will not be refunded at this time. Doctor’s note must be sent to camp director within 1 week to the completion of camp.

Pro-ration of Camp Days:

  • Any camper who is unable to attend a specific day of camp will be allowed to pro-rate their camp payment. This request must be submitted to the camp director at least 1 week in advance of the camp they are intending to attend.
  • The amount of the proration will be determined by the formula below:
    • Total Camp Cost / Total Days of Camp = Cost Per Day
    • Total of Days Missing Camp * Cost Per Day = Pro-rated (refunded) Amount
    • Total Camp Cost – Pro-Rated Amount = Total Camp Registration Cost

Discounts:

  • Early Bird Discount – Receive 10% off each registration prior to May 1st.
  • Family Discount - Receive 10% off each registration if multiple siblings sign up with one family
  • Multiple Camp Discount – Receive 10% off each registration if multiple campers sign up within one family, or one camper signs up for multiple camps.
  • CU Employee Discount – E-mail Vball@Colorado.edu to get more information on how to be eligible for a CU Employee Discount.
  • Limit 1 discount per household

  • A $100 non-refundable deposit for each session is due when you register.
  • After receiving your on-line application, you will receive a confirmation letter detailing future information to come regarding check-in, parking, and the camp store.

Health Care and Insurance:
All campers will be covered by a group accident policy provided by the camp at no cost. Camp insurance is secondary to the camper's primary personal insurance.
A certified athletic trainer will be on site at all times during camp hours.

What to Bring:
All campers should wear gym shorts, T-shirt, socks, gym shoes and ankle braces if necessary. Please leave all jewelry and valuables at home. A more detailed list of what to bring for overnight campers is included in our FAQ section.

Facilities:
Camp will be held in the Coors Events and Practice Facility, Coors Events Center main court, Balch Field House and the Kittredge Complex Sand Courts.
