Big 12 Newcomer of the Week (Sept. 29. 2009)

SENIOR (2012): Krier played in every game of the season and made 15 starts.  She was a strong defensive presence and worked as the Buffs' primary corner kicker. Krier led the team with five assists, including two in victories (2-1 over Wright State and 2-0 over Air Force) and one on the Buffs' goal against then-ranked No. 3 UCLA. She became one of just 16 players in CU history to have at least five assists in a single season. She tied Katie Griffin for third most assists by a CU senior and tied for 10th in assists among Pac-12 players.    

JUNIOR (2011): She played in 15 games, including 11 starts. She took 11 shots, totaling just one shy of what she did in her first two seasons combined. She had four shots on goal, which doubled her career total. She played a season-high 97 minutes on September 30 against Arizona (2-2).

SOPHOMORE (2010): Krier played in 16 matches logging two starts for the Buffs. She attempted four shots with two on goal. She played a total of 393 minutes at the midfield position.

FRESHMAN (2009): Krier saw action in 18 games and started 10 during her first season as a Buffalo. She was the only CU freshmen to be named a Big 12 Newcomer of the Week. She earned this honor after her performance against Nebraska when she started an attack that led to CU's first and only goal to give the Buffs a 1-0 victory over the Cornhuskers.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Krier was a two-year letterwinner at Chatfield High School under head coach Brock Blume.  As a freshman starter, Krier helped the Chargers win the league championship in 2006 and advance to the state quarterfinals her freshman and sophomore years.  Krier did not participate in her senior season as she chose to focus on Olympic Development Program and club teams.  As a member of the Colorado Rush '91 club, Krier led her team to the 2005 state championship, where she was crowned Most Valuable Player.  Krier and the Rush made four-straight State Cup appearances and were the Disney National Showcase runner-up in 2007.  Krier was also a member of the Colorado State ODP team from 2005-08, and she attended the regional camp from 2006-07.

IN THE CLASSROOM:  Krier is studying sociology and is a pre-health major at Colorado.

PERSONAL:  Quinn Krier was born on March 15, 1991 and is the daughter of Mark and Beth Krier of Littleton, Colo.  She has one sister, Kelsi.  Krier comes from a family of athletes.  Her father, Mark, played collegiate baseball at Mesa State College, and her cousin, Danielle Foxhoven, is the University of Portland's top soccer player, as well as a member of the U.S. National Team player pool.  In her spare time, Krier enjoys hanging out with family and friends and participating in anything active outside.
