Release: 06/21/2012  Courtesy: Linda Sprouse, Assistant SID

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Pac-12 has announced it will televise the 2012 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships, which will be contested on Oct. 27 in Santa Clarita, Calif. The meet will be the first conference championships televised by the network, however it will be tape-delayed.

CU is the defending champion, winning both men's and women's titles at the inaugural championships last October. The men went on to place third at the NCAA Championships while the women took 11th.

In its inaugural season, the Pac-12 Networks will televise 217 live events including football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's water polo, field hockey and cross country telecast over 100 days this fall, putting the Conference of Champions on a national stage.

The Pac-12 Networks launch August 15 and will consist of one national and six regional networks, including a Pac-12 Mountain network, devoted solely to the Pac-12. In addition to the hundreds of live televised Pac-12 sporting events, Pac-12 Networks subscribers will have access to their carrier's TV Everywhere platform, providing access to all Pac-12 Networks programming on any device through their broadband service.
