NEW ORLEANS - There was little change in the first 2012 USTFCCCA Coaches Poll for the University of Colorado cross country teams as the men held on to the fifth-place position and the women dropped three spots to 16th.

The men held strong at fifth with 294 points, while the women dipped slightly to 16th with 170 points.

CU's men are the top-ranked Pac-12 program. Wisconsin took the top spot in the poll (355 points) and Oklahoma State is second (347). BYU, which is in the mountain region with CU, is currently third overall (341) and Oklahoma is the fourth-ranked team (303).

On the women's side, there are four league schools ranked higher than the Buffs. Washington and Oregon are ranked 1-2. Washington has 347 points and Oregon picked up 345 points. Stanford is ranked eighth overall (272) and Arizona is 12th (216).

Both the men's and women's programs are also ranked third in the Mountain region.

The Buffs are off until September 29 when they host the 27th Annual Rocky Mountain Shootout.
