BOULDER – The University of Colorado women’s golf team had seniors Taylor Doyle and Jess Wallace named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team on Thursday.

To qualify, golfers must have at least a 3.0 grade-point average and played in at least 60 percent of the team’s matches.

Doyle, a Journalism major, finished the season with 78.89 stroke average.  After a redshirt season in 2008-09, she played in 67 rounds the last three years with a career 78.10 stroke average.  She had one top 20 finish and five rounds at or under par in her career.

Wallace, a Business Finance major, closed out a spectacular two-year career at CU after transferring from Pepperdine.  She played in 69 rounds at CU with a stroke average of 74.04, CU’s career leader for those with 50-plus career rounds.  Her 72.97 average as a junior is the CU season record.  In all, she owns 31 school records, 20 of them outright, and ranks second on eight other career records despite only playing two years.

Wallace turned professional shortly after CU’s first-ever trip to the NCAA Championships in the past month.  She is finishing school in June and will then join the Symestra Tour leading up to the LPGA Qualification School later this summer.
