BOULDER - The University of Colorado women's tennis team dropped to 0-4 in Pac-12 Conference play, falling to the No. 3 USC Trojans, 7-0, Sunday afternoon at the South Campus Courts.

All four losses in the inaugural season for the Buffaloes have come against the nation's top-10 teams (USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford).

The Women of Troy won for the fifth straight time, and seventh out of eight matches since falling to top-ranked UCLA back on March 1. USC improves to 14-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play, while the Buffs fall to 7-8 overall, losers of five out of their last six matches.

USC started the day off securing the doubles point sweeping all three doubles matches. The visitors have the No. 4 and No. 49 nationally ranked doubles tandems winning 8-1 and 8-4, respectively.

In singles, USC dominated play winning all six singles slots in straight sets. The Women of Troy were represented nationally at the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 positions with the No. 21, No. 31, and No. 65 ranked players, respectively.

"USC is a very good team," said CU head coach Nicole Kenneally. "The thing about our Pac-12 schedule is that on paper we've seen the four toughest teams in the conference, and I think that gives us a good base as we move forward in conference play. It gives us a feel to where we are and what we need to do. USC played very well today, I think we fought hard, but they're the better team."

CU ends the home spring portion of the schedule and hits the road for the next six consecutive matches beginning with unranked Washington State on March 30 at 2 p.m. (MT). The Buffs still have matches at (No. 36) Washington, (No. 72) Oregon, (31) Arizona, (30) Arizona State, and (35) Utah. The conference tournament will be played April 26-29 in Ojai, Calif.
