Homecoming 2017 Schedule of Events

BOULDER - CU's annual homecoming game is scheduled for October 28, as the football team hosts the California Golden Bears. The schedule of events is filled with plenty of opportunities for Buffs fans and families to interact with players, coaches and staff.
On Friday, September 27, the Stampede, Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally will begin at 7 p.m. on Pearl Street. Ralphie, celebrating her 50th anniversary this season, will be the grand marshal and will be on the court house lawn closest to 14th street during the festivities starting at 6:45 p.m.
The pep rally begins at 7:45 p.m. and will include coaches and student-athletes from the CU football, men's and women's basketball teams as well as surprise guests. The Stampede begins at the 1100 block of Pearl and will end in front of the court house with the pep rally. Â
On the day of the game, there will be a student tailgate located at Ralphie's Corral behind the Duane Physics building beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Also, the men's basketball team will host a scrimmage that is free and open to the public in the Coors Event Center from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.Â

The game itself vs. Cal at noon will feature many in-game activities including:
-Â Celebration and retirement ceremony of Rashaan Salaam's #19 jersey
- Ralphie's 50th Anniversary celebration including former Ralphie Handlers and venerable PA announcer Alan Cass saying "Here Comes Ralphie…." one more time
-Â Recognition of former CU track stars Jenny Simpson, Emma Coburn and Kara Goucher for their World Championship medals
-Â In support of October being Domestic Violence Awareness month, Folsom Field will have purple ribbons painted in the end zones and the team will wear purple ribbon stickers on their helmets during the game.
