Hodgkins Earns Pac-12 Golfer of The Month Honors

BOULDER - University of Colorado women's golfer Kirsty Hodgkins earned Pac-12 Conference Women's Golfer of the Month honors for September the league office announced here Wednesday.Â
It was the first Golfer of the Month honor since Esther Lee won in September of 2016.Â
Hodgkins, the current No. 19th ranked golfer in the nation by GolfWeek, won medalist honors at the Coeur D'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational, Sept. 26-27. Hodgkins put together a dominating performance finishing with a a final scorecard of 68-65-70—203 to break the Colorado program record for lowest 54-hole score on a par 71 course and second overall for any par. Hodgkins finished at 10-under par 203 to give her the third best performance all time for CU, for strokes under par in a tournament.Â
She also set a school record for the most consecutive rounds under par with five in a row. She was 1-under 71 at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational and was under par in all three rounds at the CDA Resort Collegiate Invite. Hodgkins dominated the field leading in par-4 and par-5 scoring. She also collected 15 birdies and 34 pars throughout the tournament.
Hodgkins owns a 69.66 stroke average through six rounds with two top-10 finishes.Â
