BOULDER - Colorado signed Aubrey Knight to a National Letter of Intent on Nov. 10 and she is one of three players so far to make up CU's 2017 women's basketball recruiting class. She is currently a senior at Ventura High School in Ventura, California, and is averaging 15.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.4 assists, while leading Ventura to a 22-6 record, a No. 19 ranking in California and a No. 82 ranking nationally. She is listed a four-star recruit by ESPN and has a scout's grade of 94. Knight is also listed as the 73rd-best player overall in the country, including the 22nd-best guard. As a junior, she was named CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) Player of the Year for Division I-AA, and has been named first-team all-county and all-league twice already. She has led Ventura to two CIF championships as a sophomore and junior, and three league championships. She's also been a three-year letterwinner in volleyball and had a .540 hitting percentage as a senior.

On the club scene, Knight currently plays for Team Taurasi and helped the team finish in the top eight at Nike Nationals in 2016.

She is the daughter of Roger and Nancy Knight. She has a brother Ethan and a sister Allia, who played volleyball at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.

Q: Why did you choose Colorado?
A: The great family atmosphere, beautiful campus, getting to play in the Pac-12, and the coaches and team are super awesome. I can't go wrong.

Q: What's the best moment of your high school career so far?
A: Beating our rival my sophomore year 66-9, and winning two CIF titles.

Q: Do you have any family ties to Colorado?
A: I have a really good family friend who lives in Colorado.

Q: What will you be majoring in?
A: Ethnic studies.

Q: What's one thing people don't know about you?
A: I was named after both of my grandpas.

Q: What's your favorite quote?
A: "There will come a time when love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears."

Q: How would your friends describe you?
A: Caring, goofy, nice, friendly and funny.

Q: What are three things you can't live without?
A: Music, my family/friends and ice cream.

Q: If you were to play a different sport in college, what would it be?
A: Volleyball.

Q: If you could play anybody 1-on-1, who would it be?
A: Elena Delle Donne.
