Get To Know: Stephanie Shadley

BOULDER – The next Buff in our 'Get To Know' series is Stephanie Shadley, an outside hitter from Lewisville, Texas. She will be a senior in the fall.

1. What is your favorite volleyball memory and why?

Beating Penn State and Illinois last year, fun weekend!

2. Who is someone you look up to the most and why?

My Mamaw, because she has been such a good role model in my life and showed the women in my family what a true woman of God looks like.

3. Name a place you've always wanted to go to but never have been.

Greece or Italy

4. Why did you choose to become a Colorado Buffalo?

The culture is so different from where I am from and I thought it would be a great place to be for four years.

5. What is your favorite TV show?

I love Wildfire. I think I have watched it four times now.

6. Where do you see yourself in five years from now?

Probably on a horse.

7. If you had to be stranded on a deserted island with one person who would you want that one person to be?

My sister, because we always have fun together no matter what.

8. Do you have any hidden talents?

I can do a rooster call pretty well.

9. Did you play in any other sports growing up or in high school?

Basketball and track

10. How many pairs of shoes do you currently own?

I am guessing over 30

11. Who is your best friend and how did you meet?

My four best friends from home are Mady, Lindsay, Sammi, Kacie. We have grown up together and are still just as close.

12. What is your favorite part about being at the University of Colorado?

I love that there is something for everyone and that I am still able to ride horses here.

13. Name one celebrity you would like to meet and why?

George Strait
