All Games National On Pac-12 Network

BOULDER — The University of Colorado now knows its game times and television arrangements for the first three weeks of September, as the Pac-12 Conference on Wednesday released the information for 42 games for the upcoming 2017 football season.

All three games will be televised nationally by the Pac-12 Network.

Colorado's season opener against Colorado State at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver on Friday, Sept. 1, will kickoff at 6:00 p.m. MDT.  It will technically be the 23rd straight year that the "Rocky Mountain Showdown" will be televised on an either a regional or national basis, the first time on the Pac-12 Network which is available nationally through several cable systems and the DISH Network.  It will be the 17th time the rivals meet in Denver, where the Buffaloes own a 10-6 edge; the two will meet for the 89th time overall, with the Buffaloes owning a 64-22-2 lead in the series including last year's 44-7 win.

It will be the season opener for CU, while the Rams will have opened their season and new stadium the week before against Oregon State.

Tickets prices for the CSU game range from $35 to $110 and go on sale on Wednesday, July 5.  They will be available at on-line at CUBuffs.com, in-person at the athletic ticket office in CU's Champions Center, or by phone (303-492-8337).  Season tickets are currently on sale and can be obtained in any of the aforementioned ways; single game tickets for home games at Folsom will go on sale on Monday, June 19.

CU's home opener against the Texas State Bobcats on Saturday, Sept. 9 along with the Northern Colorado game on Saturday, Sept. 16 will both kickoff at Noon.

It will be the first-ever meeting between CU and the TXST, which is located in San Marcos and was formerly known as Southwest Texas State until 2003; it's where former president Lyndon B. Johnson graduated from in 1930.

As for the game against UNC, it will be the first time the Buffs and Bears will meet since 1934, when both were members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.  Colorado leads the series, 9-2, with UNC winning the last time they played, 13-7 on Oct. 12, 1934; the game was played at night, just the third night game in CU history and the first in the state's borders.

All remaining games are on the selection menu of the Pac-12's television partners, ESPN-ABC, FOX Sports-FS-1 and the Pac-12 Networks, with arrangements announced usually 12 days in advance, though on occasion it can be as few as six days.
