Fan Earns Medalist Honors, Qualifies for U.S. Women’s Amateur Championships

AURORA, Colo. – University of Colorado golfer Brittany Fan shot an impressive 7-under par 65 here Monday at the Common Ground Golf Course to win medalist honors and qualify for the 2017 U.S. Women's Amateur Championships.
Fan earned one of the six qualifying spots as she won the event with an impressive showing. Fan's strong 18-hole performance included six birdies and an eagle on the par-five hole No. 11 against only one bogey.
The 2017 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship is scheduled for August 7-13 and will be held at the San Diego Country Club in Chula Vista, Cal.
