Lacrosse Announces 2017 Fall Schedule

BOULDER — In preparation for the 2018 season, the Colorado women's lacrosse team will open up its fall schedule on October 7.

The Buffaloes will welcome back their alumni, which include 14 players from the 2014 inaugural season, to compete in a scrimmage on October 7 at Kittredge Field at 9 a.m. The following Saturday, October 14, the Buffs play against each other in the annual Black & Gold scrimmage, which will also be at Kittredge Field.

After two straight Saturdays in Boulder, Colorado will travel to Denver on October 21 to face the University of Denver with a 3:30 p.m. opening draw at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.

Fall competition wraps up in Evanston, Ill. with Northwestern Play Day, October 28-29. The Buffs will face a pair of 2017 opponents Northwestern and Marquette, as well as Notre Dame.

The Buffs are coming off a record breaking season where they recorded a single season wins record (16) after starting the campaign off with 11 straight wins, and went on to finish the year with a 16-4 mark. CU also earned its best conference finish, placing second overall in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation with a 7-1 mark. The Buffs also advanced to their first ever NCAA Tournament.

Colorado will announce its 2017 regular season schedule later this fall. This spring the Buffs will welcome several top teams to Boulder during the regular season before hosting the inaugural Pac-12 Lacrosse Tournament at the end of April.
