2017: Indoor: Did not compete.
Outdoor: During the 2017 outdoor season, May competed in the 1,500-meter run. At the Oregon State High Performance meet (4/29), May set a personal record, finishing in 4:30.71.

2016: Indoor: May ran a pair of miles during the season. She earned a season best of 4:54.19 at the Husky Classic (2/13), which was 39^th overall. At the MPSF Championship, May was 30^th overall, finishing in 5:03.69.
Outdoor: May only ran once during the outdoor season, finishing the 800 at the CU Invite in 2:21.88 for 15^th overall.

2015: Indoor: Redshirt. Did not compete.
Outdoor: May started the spring by running an 800 at the Jerry Quiller Classic (3/21), clocking a runner-up finish in 2:15.19. Her next race was a first place finish in the 1,500 (4:37.60) at the Fum McGraw Quadrangular (3/28). May’s final event was her 3,000-meter steeplechase debut at the CU Invite (4/11).

2014: Indoor: May raced the mile three times during her first season with the Buffs. She ran the mile in 5:02.97 at the Husky Classic (2/15) and finished the season with a season-best time of 4:55.24 at the MPSF Championships.
Outdoor: Redshirt. Did not compete.

CROSS COUNTRY: (2017) Did not compete.
(2016) May competed in three meets for the Buffs, starting with a 21st place finish at the Colorado State Invitational. She was seventh at the Metro State Invitational before finishing the season at the Bradley Classic with a 23rd place finish.
(2015) May raced four times for the Buffs as a sophomore before serving as the alternate at regionals and NCAAs. She started the season with a ninth place finish at the CSU Invite before placing fifth at the Rocky Mountain Shootout. At NCAA Pre-Nationals, she was 134^th overall. Her final race of the season was Pac-12s where May took 53^rd overall.
(2014) May ran in three races for the Buffs as a redshirt freshman. She started the season 12^th at the Rocky Mountain Shootout and then took 12^th overall in the open race at NCAA Pre-Nationals. May finished the campaign 63^rd at Pac-12s.

HIGH SCHOOL: May is the St. Joseph’s Academy record holder in the 800 (2:16.99) and 1,600-meter (4:56) runs. During her senior year, May placed second at the state championships in the 1,600 and was an all-state selection in the 1,600 and the 800. She also earned all-conference honors in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 as a senior. During her sophomore cross country season, the Angels placed third at the state 4A championship.

IN THE CLASSROOM: May is a business major with an emphasis in finance and owns a GPA greater than 3.70.

PERSONAL: Lucy Catherine May was born on December 19, 1994 in Louisville, Colo. She is the daughter of Chris and Joanne May and has a brother, Jake, and a sister, Sophia. Her father is the Athletic Director at Saint Louis University and also ran track at Iowa State. May also enjoys playing basketball and soccer.
