2017 (Senior)—He capped off his career by being named to the 2017 USCSCA National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team for the fourth time in his career, which requires a cumulative 3.5 grade point average and competing at the NCAA Regional Championships. He finished nine of his 12 races on the season with three top 20 finishes, all three coming in the giant slalom. His best finish came at the end of the season at the RMISA Championships in Beaver Creek, where he placed 13th in the GS to help the Buffs win their 28th RMISA title. His top slalom finish was at the Alaska Anchorage Invitational, when he placed 21st.

2016 (Junior)—Named to the Division I National All-Academic Ski team for a third-straight season. Competed in eight races (three slalom and five giant slalom). He had a sixth-place showing at the RMISA Alpine Q1 held at Bozeman on Jan. 9. Took 10th in the FS at the Colorado Invitational. In slalom races he opened the year finishing 21st at the Utah Invitational for his best finish in that discipline in 2016.

2015 (Sophomore)—On the Buffs NCAA Championship squad. Earned second-team All-RMISA honors after finishing 13th in the giant slalom and tying for 15th in the slalom at the RMISA Championships in late February. He was named to the Division I National All-Academic Ski team. Competed in 12 races on the season with three top five finishes (all in GS action). Best finish was a second-place showing in the Colorado Invitational, finishing second in the GS. His top slalom finish on the season also came in the Colorado Invitational, finishing in 10th place. Collected RMISA Skier-of-the-Week honors in late January at the RMISA Alpine Qualifiers. Prior to the start of his sophomore season, he had some impressive finishes, taking 14th in a slalom race at the CU Jimmie Heuga Invitational at Echo Mountain, and an eighth place in a GS race at Copper Mountain.

2014 (Freshman)—He finished eight of 12 races in his first season at Colorado, finishing four of six races in both giant slalom and slalom action.  He got out of the gate a little slowly, not finishing two of his first three giant slalom races and taking 24th in the other, but then hit a grove at the CU Spencer James Nelson Memorial Invitational, having his best three races at that meet counting the extra RMISA Qualifier attached to the back end of the meet.  He finished 18th in the slalom race there, his best finish by five spots on the season, and he finished 13th in the race that counted toward the CU meet and then fifth in the RMISA Qualifier race, all at Winter Park.  Prior to the start of the college season, he competed at the World University Games for Canada, finishing 42nd in the giant slalom race.  After the college season, he had a great week of skiing at Mission Ridge, Wash., taking fifth place in one slalom and two giant slalom races there over three days.  He also had a nine place GS finish in Aspen and in Lusten, Minn., finished fourth in a GS race and 10th in a slalom race to close out his ski season. Earned 22.84 FIS points in giant slalom and 29.92 in slalom.

Club—Carry skied for the Fernie Alpine Ski Team in Calgary and was a member of the British Columbia Provincial Team for two years.  Entering college, he had competed in 201 FIS races since 2008 and finished 125 of them with 44 top 20, 22 top 10 and nine top five finishes to his credit.  He has hit the podium four times with one win, a slalom race in Norquay, Albertia in December 2012.  He finished seventh at the Canadian National Championships in the slalom in Whistler, B.C., in 2013 and also took home 15th in the giant slalom there. To kick off his collegiate career, he represented CU and Canada at World University Games in Trentino, Italy, and finished 42nd in the giant slalom.  He has competed in 12 races at the Canadian National Championships and in 48 Nor-Am Cup races, where his best finishes were a pair of 30th place finishes in the Downhill at Apex, B.C.

High School—Carry graduated from William Aberhart High School in Calgary in 2010.  Aside from skiing, he was a wide receiver for the school’s football team and was the Calgary city champion in the pole vault on the track & field team.

In the Classroom—Carry is majoring in Business at Colorado.

Personal—Roger Carry was born January 18, 1993, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to Roger and Joanne Carry.  He enjoys biking, windsurfing, skateboarding, filming and photography.  He has had summer jobs as a videographer and a stone mason.  He chose Colorado because the Buffs are the defending national champions and he wanted to ski with the best.
