FRESHMAN (2017): McPherson redshirted in her first season at CU.
OLYMPIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: McPherson participated in U-13 to U-15 ODP and made the state ODP as well. She was also a regional holdover selection for U-14.
CLUB TEAM: She played for Colorado Storm ECNL '99 in Centennial, Colo., for coach Dave Kunitz. With Colorado Storm, she has been a league champion every year since 2011, State Cup champions in 2012 and State Cup runner-up in 2013.
HIGH SCHOOL: McPherson graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 2017 where she played two years of varsity soccer. She was on the honor roll throughout her career and lettered in tennis as a junior and senior.
IN THE CLASSROOM: McPherson plans on majoring in psychology and is also interested in political science and education. She would like to be a child life specialist and has a large interest in studying psychology.
PERSONAL: She was born Caitlin Marie McPherson on Oct. 20, 1998 to Doug and Kim McPherson. Her older brother Connor is a junior at CU. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, drawing, swimming, riding bikes and hiking. McPherson has also been volunteering for five years at Brent's Place, a home for children battling cancer. She chose CU because of the "competitive training environment, drive to be the best, amazing campus, location, and academic support for athletes."
